Etosha Village is proud to be an ecologically conscious establishment in a country that focus on nature and eco-tourism. We have been granted with an Eco Award for planning and managing Etosha Village according to eco-friendly principles.
We are adhering strictly to water saving measures and even have water recycling system in place where the shower water from the units are filtered and purified to use again in our garden.
At Etosha Village we only plant indigenous vegetation and have used the wood of intruder trees for the wooden decks of our accommodation units.
We are committed to the conservation of our pristine wilderness areas, thus our accommodation suites are designed and constructed in such a way to ensure minimum impact on the natural habitat.
Each accommodation unit features a solar water heater to save on energy.
All the bricks used in the construction of Etosha Village have been made out of mining debris from the non-operational Uis mine.
Waste gets sorted to reused where possible for instance as compost. The chairs in the bar-area have been made out of recycled rims and some of the other unique seats around the premises have been made out of old paint tins.
Continuously new initiatives get implemented to make Etosha Village even more sustainable.
